George Town, Grand Cayman, March 8 th , 2007 - WestStar TV Ltd. is clarifying rights issues impacting the broadcast of the English Premiership Football League matches for Cayman's soccer fans.

WestStar currently offers two channels that cover English Premiership Football League Matches : Fox Soccer Channel (channel 130), which is part of the Sports & Info package; and Sports Max (channel 201), sold as a separate channel on its own.

Fox Soccer Channel , owned by Fox Sports Interactive Media, LLC, is restricted by international broadcasting rights and therefore is unable to cover all English Premiership Football League matches. During matches to which they do not own the rights, Fox Soccer Channel experiences a 'black out' and automatically switches programming over to Fuel , an action sports channel that is also part of WestStar's Sports and Info package.

“The switch from Fox Soccer Channel to Fuel happens automatically because the Fox Soccer Channel does not have rights to certain football matches and unfortunately we at WestStar have no control over the process,” explains Richard Corbin, WestStar's Operations Manager.   “We do, however, offer a comprehensive selection of international sports programming, including Sports Max , which owns the rights to the English Premiership Football League in the Caribbean.”

Subscribers to WestStarTV's Basic Cable package can add the Sports & Info package (17 channels) for $19.95 per month and Sports Max for $10 per month.
